Paris Saint-Germain announced on Wednesday their readiness to "reopen discussions" with the Paris City Hall regarding the purchase of the Parc des Princes stadium. This development comes just a day after the Paris Council decided to mandate the city's new mayor, Emmanuel Grégoire, to initiate dialogue for the sale of the sports facility. The club stated in a communiqué that it "acknowledges the position expressed by the Paris Council in favor of opening a new dialogue." According to PSG, "the proposal to integrate the Parc des Princes into a broader development program for 'Porte de Saint-Cloud,' presented by the City Hall, offers a new perspective."

The Mayor of Paris has pledged that this area will not feature a new commercial center. This marks PSG's first public statement since Emmanuel Grégoire's election as mayor on March 22nd. "Allowing Paris Saint-Germain to leave the Parc des Princes would be a political, sporting, and historical mistake," stated the new mayor, who had previously opposed the stadium's sale. Consequently, PSG had been considering relocating the team to Massy or Poissy, an option still on the table, with a decision expected in the autumn. The resumption of talks could be instrumental in PSG remaining at the iconic stadium in the French capital.
