1. Southampton 1 Vs Chelsea 0: Guus Hiddink has steadied the ship

Chelsea continued their decent run under Hiddink with an impressive 2-1 win at Southampton Despite going a goal down, Chelsea upped their game and got two goals to win the game. Hiddink has finally steadied the ship. Eden Hazard plays with much freedom now while John Obi Mikel has become that assuring figure in front of back four.

The way they rallied back from a goal down shows the players are now playing for each other while Cesc Fabregas' wary look under Jose Mourinho is now forgotten. The top four might be too far from them, but Hiddink has done a superb job. An FA Cup or a Champions League win will be the icing on the cake for him at the end of the season.

2. Leicester City 1 Vs Norwich City 0: Foxes’ grit can win them the title

Leicester City’s 1-0 win at home to Norwich over the weekend showed exactly why they can win the Premier League title this season.

Norwich came with a game plan that nearly worked for them. Tight at the back, crowding the midfield and racing into attack. They really troubled Leicester City.

It wasn’t a great day at the office for Claudio Ranieri’s men. Jamie Vardy was not any space to sniff at goal, Riyad Mahrez was not in his top form, but they still found a way.

This is the grit that wins you title.

3. Manchester United 3 Vs Arsenal 2: Arsenal cannot win the league under Arsene Wenger

This has to be Arsenal’s season. It has to be. Manchester City is floundering, Chelsea are out of it while Manchester United are struggling to make top four, so who’s left to lift the title, Arsenal.

But they can’t and that is because they have a certain Arsene Wenger as coach.

This season, with just Leicester City and Tottenham and maybe City to challenge, Arsenal are about bottling it again.

Their 2-3 loss to a depleted Manchester Unitedside on Sunday was embarrassing. But that is Arsenal for you. When it matters most, they fall flat on their backs without fight and grit.

Who are we to blame, off course, Wenger. He is the manager of the side and a football team is a reflection of its manager.

Wenger does not exude confidence, no winning mentality and just comfortable with qualifying for the Champions League without any chance of winning.

When you see a Jose Mourinho team, you see him written all over it, so also Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola, etc.

Wenger is written over Arsenal, that is why they can never win the league or the Champions League with him.

4. Tottenham 1 Vs Swansea 1: Spurs quietly walking to the title

Spurs came from a goal down to beat Swansea at home, continuing their good form which keeps them in second, just two points behind leaders Leicester City and three above Arsenal.

Leicester City dark-horse run in the league and Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and City’s struggling run have been most talked about.

Spurs’ exploits so far has not been much talk about and that might be one of the reasons they are quietly going about their business. ‘

5. Liverpool 1 Vs Manchester City 1 (1-3 PEN): League Cup win could spur Citizens

Though it wasn’t a league game, the Capital One Cup final played between Liverpool and Manchester City over the weekend could played a huge role in the title race.

City’s season has not been impressive but to have lifted a trophy in February is a massive booster and might spur them on for the rest of the season.

The last three Premier League winners have all won the League cup too that same season.

City have the players and the squad, the League Cup win could bring out the best in them.
