Following the match, head coach João Franco lamented the team's lack of composure in critical moments. "We lacked clarity in the decisive moments of the fourth and fifth sets," he stated, though he also praised his team's performance and their opponents. "We should be proud of our game, as the Poles were exemplary."

The coach also acknowledged the emotional impact of the result on the squad. "The outcome is a blow to our morale, but we must recover quickly for the next game," João Franco emphasized.

Portugal, placed in Group 1, returns to the court this Tuesday to face Israel, followed by their final group stage match against Ukraine, who suffered a 3-0 defeat today. Group 2 of the competition features Italy, France, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria.
