Petra Kvitova has suffered an injury scare ahead of Wimbledon after pulling out of the Aegon International with a thigh strain.

The Czech was due to face Heather Watson in the quarter-finals at Eastbourne on Thursday, but was forced to withdraw from the tournament.

Kvitova is the sixth seed for Wimbledon, but it is unclear if she will be able to take part in the third Grand Slam of the year ahead of Friday's draw.
The world number six would have fancied her chances of seeing off wildcard Watson, who now progresses to the last four.
