Manchester United midfielder leaves Old Trafford on crutches after Champions League win
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba left Old Trafford on crutches after the 3-0 win over Basel in the Champions League on Tuesday, September 12.
Pogba got injured in the 19th minute of the clash from a challenge and signalled to the bench to be taken off.
After the game, the 24-year-old was seen in a video leaving Old Trafford on crutches because of the injury that appears to be on his hamstring.
The midfielder faces the prospect of three to four weeks on the sideline and will miss Manchester United games against Burton Albion (League Cup) Everton, Southampton, Crystal Palace (Premier League) and a Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.
"I don't know (what the severity is)," Manchester Unitedmanager Jose Mourinho told MUTV.
"I just know from experience it's a muscular injury. In my experience, muscular injury stops you from playing for a few weeks, I think."
This is Podga’s second hamstring injury in 2017 after the one he suffered in the Europa League.
He, however, returned just three weeks later, earlier than expected.
Marouane Fellaini who replaced Pogba in the game against Basel on Tuesday opened the lead for Manchester United on Tuesday with a header.
