What is the film "Import"?

"Import" is a film project with high artistic ambitions, telling the story of American basketball player Danny Ingram. After a severe shoulder injury, Ingram finds himself in Belgrade without a contract and in a seemingly hopeless situation.

However, thanks to his extraordinary passion for the sport, he attempts – and at KK Partizan, succeeds – to prove himself, revive his once highly promising career, and once again play at an elite level. "Import" is a cinematic fairy tale about sportsmanship, love for basketball, the sacrifices it demands, and the perseverance and belief in one's dreams.

Through a collaboration with KK Partizan and EuroLeague, the film crew will shoot scenes for the upcoming movie during several home games KK Partizan plays in the Belgrade Arena during this year's EuroLeague season: against KK Valencia (March 27th), against KK Zalgiris (April 10th), and against KK Baskonia (April 16th).

The film's creators, led by director Paul Shkordoff, chose Serbia and KK Partizan due to their rich and internationally renowned basketball tradition. The international cast is joined by several well-known Serbian actors, including Miloš Timotijević, Boris Isaković, Luka Grbić, Miloš Milaković, among others.

Director Paul Shkordoff's previous short film, "Benjamin, Benny, Ben" (2020), had its world premiere in the official program of the Cannes Film Festival and was also screened at the Toronto IFF and numerous other festivals.

The premiere of "Import" is anticipated in the first half of 2027, with the film also set for theatrical distribution in Serbia.
