Hugo Oliveira's Strasbourg side currently occupy 11th place in the table with seven points from their opening six matches (two wins, one draw, three defeats) and a goal difference of 11:12. The Alsatians have experienced a recent dip in form; after victories over Lens (2-1) and Troyes (6-2) and a 1-1 draw with Monaco, Strasbourg have suffered consecutive 2-1 defeats on the road against Paris FC and Nice. On home soil, however, they remain unbeaten in the league so far this season.

Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain have ground to make up following a somewhat stuttering start to their domestic campaign. The Parisians sit sixth in Ligue 1 on 11 points (three wins, two draws, one defeat) with an 11:8 goal tally, trailing league leaders Monaco by only three points. PSG have now hit their stride with five consecutive victories across all competitions, defeating Brest (1-0), Marseille (2-1), and Le Mans (3-1) in the league, alongside an impressive 4-2 Champions League triumph at Manchester City and a 6-1 thrashing of Slovan Bratislava.

PSG hold the edge in the last five meetings between the two sides with three wins, one draw, and one defeat. In their most recent encounter in February 2026, the champions earned a 2-1 win at the Stade de la Meinau. Prior to that, the teams played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Parc des Princes in October 2025, while Strasbourg secured a 2-1 home victory in May 2025. Although PSG have historically dominated the fixture, Strasbourg consistently pose a stern test in front of their home supporters.

The hosts will be without club captain Ismaël Doukouré and playmaker Sebastian Nanasi due to injury. Long-term absentee Joaquín Panichelli continues his recovery from a torn ACL, while Martial Godo is also ruled out of contention.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, promising young midfielder Senny Mayulu remains on the sidelines with a thigh problem, but full-back Nuno Mendes is back at Luis Enrique's disposal.
