This all stemmed from a series of photos she posted in early June, when she attended a Paraguay-Nicaragua friendly match in preparation for the World Cup, held in Asunción at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium.
The 20-year-old model's photos quickly spread globally and gained significant traction with the start of the World Cup's final phase. They even appeared as an example of AI-generated viral fans, a common occurrence on social media, but Naiel promptly debunked these claims in various interviews with radio and television stations in her home country, where she won the Miss Teen Paraguay contest in 2022.
She thus became an internet sensation. However, she continues to support Paraguay from home, or from the streets, where she celebrated their historic penalty shootout victory over Germany in the Round of 16 last night.
During the celebration, Naiel Aguilera posted a video on Instagram with a specific message: «This message is for all Germans who underestimated Paraguay and the Albirroja. Go Paraguay!»
The model also shared a video on her stories from a German television channel, featuring a pre-match preview that claimed the Paraguayan national team was third-rate and would offer no resistance to the Mannschaft.
