Peshawar Zalmi fast bowler Wahab skittled Quetta Gladiators' Shehzad for the opening wicket of their encounter.

A clearly fired-up Wahab strode towards the batsman – a team-mate during Pakistan's tour to New Zealand last month – and the pair bumped chests in the middle of the wicket, exchanging words after being separated by team-mates.

The Peshawar player received a fine worth 40 per cent of his match fee, while his opponent's sanction came to 30 per cent.

Wahab has been named in Pakistan's squad for the World Twenty20 in India next month, but Shehzad was not selected.

Quetta duo Grant Elliott and Zulfiqar Babar set a new T20 world record with a 10th-wicket partnership worth 63 runs, but it was not enough to stop Peshawar winning by eight wickets with eight balls remaining to move to the top of the PSL table.
