Page lets Pulse in on his music journey and why you should pay attention to his sound.

How did you start off with music?

I started singing from the age of eight in the church choir which I ended up as a leader of by the age of 13. I started doing music professionally in 2012 releasing some mixtape and playing them at street competitions. I also play the drums.

Is there an early memory you recall that made you decide to take music as a career path?

Music for me has always been a passion. I never for once thought I could make money out of it. I performed at a street jam then, a man invited me to come perform at his son’s birthday party which I got paid.

That triggered me to do more. And you know how it feels when you are called an artiste, a musician, a star boy in your street (laughs), that also motivated me to keep pushing and do more.

How would you describe your sound?

I describe my kind of music as Afro pop and dance. I am a versatile kind of artiste. I could be inspired to do Apala.

Who are your influences? What principles do you live by?

First of all I will say my parents are. Also my Bishop in church people around me and most especially my boss. My dad always tells me to utilize every opportunity because it might be your last. “Don't do things because everybody is doing them,” it might be your last.

My bishop always says “If everybody are dancing to the right, dance to the left then they will recognize you. If you don't place God first in your plan then you plan to fail.” People around me taught me that friends value you when you are successful only, and my boss taught me that people's opinions don't matter except it puts food on the table.

Tell us a little bit about your new single 'Forever' coming out soon

My latest song ‘Forever’ was produced by Oye beat and mixed by Sean Stan. ‘Forever’ is a dance love song with a very strong African feel that will keep you dancing all day and night.  ‘Forever’ came out from a beat.

It wasn't a song I planned on doing but the sound inspired me and it came out very well. It’s good content for the old and young, a song you will love to play on your wedding anniversary, when you want to put a ring on it, and on your wedding day. So keep your fingers crossed for it.
