Three men escaped lynching at the Relief Market, Egbu Road, Owerri, Imo State. They were alleged to have raped a 10-year-old girl.
According to Vanguard, the men took the girl to a lonely part of the market, where they took turns to rape her.
The location used for the wicked act was a shop said to be behind the Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex.
A source, Mr. Paschal Nwoko, reported that the girl was in a very bad condition when she found.
Nwoko said, “she is in a bad shape”.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, narrated that two, out of the five suspects are on the loose.
He said, “As soon as we received a distress call, we sent a patrol team to the market.
“We were told on arrival that two out of the five suspects had escaped and we arrested the remaining three.”
Medical reports are being compiled for more information concerning the condition of the 10-year-old victim.
