According to sources, some of her Super Falcons teammates were present to show moral support.
“Thank you Lord God for safe surgery, receive all thy glory in Jesus name Amen,” the defender wrote on Instagram after the surgery.
It is still unclear who footed the bill for the surgery as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are yet to pay the allowances and bonuses of the Super Falcons players and coaches.
Super Falcons players have launched a sit-in protest at an Abuja hotel over the unpaid allowances.
