A 50-year-old woman has been charged for breaking into someone's house and stealing valuable items.

Bukola Awolu, a 50-year-old woman, has been dragged to the Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos, charged with burglary.

Awolu, an Oyo State based trader, was alleged to have broken into an apartment belonging to one Rasaki Obafemi, and stole valuables including a laptop valued at N168, 000, an LG flat screen television, an other items.
The prosecutor, Inspector Feddy Asu, told the court that the offences of stealing and housebreaking were committed February 26, 2015, at No. 36, Niger Street, off Odaliki Street, Ebute Meta, noting that they contravene Sections 285 and 305(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, which jointly prescribes three years and seven years in jail if found guilty.
