A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim, bail in the sum of N270 million.
Presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, also ordered the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which filed the case against the former governor, to submit his passport and other travel documents seized from him to the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court.
The EFCC, on Wednesday, July 8, arraigned Ohakim after accusing him of committing fraud to the tune of N270m.
Meanwhile, another court in Kano has ordered that former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido and his two sons, who were also arrested by the EFCC, be remanded in prison till the continued hearing of their case on September 28.
Former Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, who along with his son is in EFCC custody, will have his application for bail heard on Friday, July 10.
