Onazi's last coach at Lazio was Stefano Pioli who was sacked in April following a 4-1 loss to arch-rivals Roma.

Lazio have finally named Bielsa who last worked at Marseille before resigning just one game into the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season.

"As revealed in the media, SS Lazio announces that is has registered the contract of Mr Marcelo Bielsa and his co-workers," a club statement released on Wednesday, July 6 read.

"The coach and his staff will be in Rome on Saturday July 9."

After honeymooning with his wife, Onazi resumed pre-season training this week and would be looking forward to working with his new coach.

He took to his Instagram to share a photo of him checking in with the club doctor when he resumed.

The 23-year-old has been trailed with exit rumours but it seems he would be staying at the Serie A club.

Lazio finished eighth last season in the Serie A; they lost 14 games, drew nine games and won 15.
