Lazio midfielder dedicates goal to Nigeria's 55th Independence

Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi was on the scoresheet for his club Lazio in their UEFA Europa League win over Saint Etienne.

Onazi scored Lazio's first goal of night in the 22nd minute after Mustapha Bayall had given Saint Etienne the lead.

"Three points in the bag with one goal for my beloved #NigeriaAt55. Thanks to our fans! #ForzaLazio‎," Onazi wrote on Twitter after the game.

Wesley Hoedt and Lucas Bigla were the other scorers for Lazio on the night.

Onazi who was yellow carded in the 25th minute was replaced in the 74th minute by Danilo Cataldi.

With this win, Lazio are tied on the same four points with Michael Babatunde's Dnipro but with a superior goal difference to the Ukrainian side who defeated Rosenburg by a lone goal in the other fixture in the group.
