Paris Saint-Germain has officially announced the signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona. The Spanish World Cup winner, a hero from this summer's triumph, has penned a five-year deal with the French champions. PSG will reportedly pay €50 million for his services, and Torres will wear the number nine shirt. The Spanish forward arrived in Paris yesterday to undergo his medical examination before signing his personal contract. He becomes the club's third new acquisition, following the arrivals of Lucas Digne and Manes Akliouch. PSG is also expected to finalize the signing of Ajax's young talent, Mika Godts, in the coming days.
Ferran Torres's arrival will likely pave the way for Bradley Barcola's departure from PSG. Barcola has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal. The French international has recently lost his starting spot with the Parisian club and is reportedly keen on joining a team where he can secure regular playing time.
