Official: Man Utd Without Harry Maguire Against Chelsea

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire will miss Saturday's Premier League clash against Chelsea after the Football Association (FA) upheld his one-match ban and fine, according to The Athletic. The 33-year-old England international was sent off with a red card during the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on March 20th, but the Red Devils had appealed the decision.

The FA, however, maintained its decision that the defender must serve a suspension for offensive language directed at fourth official Matt Donohue following his dismissal. Maguire's absence will be further compounded by the unavailability of the other starting center-back, Lisandro Martinez, who received a straight red card in Monday's 2-1 loss to Leeds. This means manager Michael Carrick will have to rely on young defenders Lenny Yoro and Aidan Heaven, who have not started together under his leadership. Manchester United currently sit third in the standings with 55 points, 15 behind leaders Arsenal and seven ahead of sixth-placed Chelsea.
