The Catalan giants have finalized the transfer of the 31-year-old Croatian goalkeeper. Livaković, who arrived in Barcelona yesterday, joins from Fenerbahçe, where he had a contract until June 2028. He will bolster the goalkeeping ranks under Hansi Flick, who already has Joan García and Wojciech Szczęsny at his disposal. Ter Stegen, who was not in Flick's plans, moved to Ajax on loan, managed by Michel.

“It’s a dream to be here and sign with Barça. See you soon, Visca Barça!” the goalkeeper stated as a new Blaugrana player.

The Croatian international boasts an extensive career. He has played 310 matches for Dinamo Zagreb, 108 for NK Zagreb, and 74 for Fenerbahçe. He also had a brief stint at Girona, spending several months on loan during the 25/26 season, though he didn't feature in any matches for the Montilivi-based side. Barcelona's intention is for Livaković to serve as the second-choice goalkeeper in Hansi Flick's setup.
