Just hours after announcing their split with Jack Miller at the end of the MotoGP season, the Pramac Yamaha team confirmed that the Australian's spot will be filled by Izan Guevara, who is set to make his debut in the premier class in 2027.
The 2022 Moto3 World Champion currently races for Pramac in Moto2, where he has secured two victories with the team. The Spaniard is currently second in the Moto2 standings, with the 2026 season marking his strongest performance since his category debut in 2023. In addition to his win in France, he has achieved four other podium finishes this year, with his lowest results being two seventh-place finishes at Jerez and Mugello.
Guevara is the third rookie confirmed for MotoGP in 2027, following Dani Holgado and David Alonso. Holgado will join Gresini Ducati, while Alonso is set to ride for either Honda or LCR Honda, though his destination is yet to be finalized. At Pramac Yamaha, Guevara will partner with three-time Superbike World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, who made his move to MotoGP earlier this year.
