The Nigeria international revealed that he lost sleep a huge offer from Chinathat could have earned him £40million over four years.

Hebei China Fortune repeatedly came back with a bigger offer anytime they approached him but the striker turned them each time.

"I was very close; they made a £10m bid and were offering me over £200,000 a week; a four-year contract. I couldn’t sleep for three days," the Super Eagles striker told Daily Mail in February.

"That kind of money is not easy to turn down. Some team-mates in the dressing room were saying, “You can’t miss this chance”. But I don’t jump into decisions like that."

The religious striker revealed that God told him to remain at Watford after he prayed.
