Norway captain Martin Ødegaard stated he hasn't engaged in banter with his Arsenal teammates ahead of their World Cup quarter-final clash against England. The Norwegian national team is preparing for one of the most significant matches in its history, where Ødegaard will face his club colleagues Eberechi Eze, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke, all part of the Gunners' Premier League squad.

"I've spoken to some of them during the tournament, but there's been very little banter. I know their qualities well. They are world-class players and part of one of the strongest national teams globally. This will be a huge test for us," Ødegaard commented to the media.

The playmaker specifically highlighted his Arsenal midfield partner, Declan Rice.

"Declan is someone who always gives his absolute all. He fights for every ball, puts all his energy on the pitch, and that drives the team forward. He can play equally well in both attack and defense," the Norwegian added.

Despite labeling England as favorites, Ødegaard believes in his team's capabilities.

"England boasts truly incredible footballers. We are eagerly anticipating this encounter and hope to write an even greater history. We are confident after our success against Brazil. In football, anything is possible, even when you're an underdog," concluded the Norway captain.

The match between Norway and England will be played on July 12th (Sunday) in Miami, kicking off at midnight Bulgarian time.

The venue for the clash is Miami Gardens, USA (Florida), and this match, along with all 104 games of the World Cup in North America, can be watched live on bnt.sportal.bg.
