Obi Emelonye unveils first-look at ‘Money Miss Road’ movie

Nollywood film director Obi Emelonye has teased fans with a first-look at his forthcoming film titled ‘Money Miss Road’.

Emelonye, on Friday, shared a poster for the new film which features ‘Living in Bondage: Breaking Free’ star Jidekene Achufusi, comedian Josh2Funny and veteran actor Charley Boy Oputa.

Written by Emelonye, 'Money Miss Road' follows Josiah (Josh2funny) and Joseph (Achufusi), two down-on-their-luck friends who share a room in a run-down part of Gwagwalada, Abuja.

When Josiah’s wife, Lucy (Oma Iyasara) arrives without notice and with their three daughters, Joseph checks into a local hotel. But, a mix-up lands him in a room belonging to Diokpa (Charley Boy), a local criminal Lord.

What Joseph finds in Diokpa’s room changes his life and that of his friend Josiah thus sparking a game of cat and mouse with Diokpa tracing the two Joes all the way to Lagos where they have become the biggest boys in town.

Initially titled ‘Hunt’ (working title), production and principal photography officially kicked off in November 2021 in Abuja. Recall that the filmmaker had shared BTS exclusively with Pulse in the same month.

‘Money Miss Road’ is executive produced by Odinaka Emmanuel Offia and produced by Joy Odiete for Blue Pictures.
