This was revealed at a press briefing held in Lagos by the Coordinator of the Kanu Soccer Academy, Canada, Abi Goodman.

The event will hold in two segments-the first for August 1-14, second August 15-26-in Alliston Canada.

According to Complete Sports, 00 youth players, boys and girls, between the ages of 11-18 will be imvolved.

The initiative aimed at teaching the players the basics of the game while exposing them to players’ agents from across the globe and also offer the youngsters opportunity to interact with Kanu who is a United Nations Soccer Ambassador as well as showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in Canada while at the same time showcasing their talents.

“It will also open a window for the young players to exchange Nigeria’s rich culture to Canada which is the second largest country in the world,” Goodman said.

“It will also afford them opportunity to learn. All areas as security and travel insurance have been taken care of.

“It is a residential camp in which the young players will be afforded to the chance to visit places of interest.”

Participating players are to pay (N1.9M) $6,000, which will cover travel, accommodation and feeding while in Canada.
