Chairman advises commercial drivers to abide by traffic laws

Early this week, the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) urged drivers to be more responsible or face the music.

Last week, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Mr. Oluseyi Whenu, made it known that Lagos State Traffic Management Authority(LASTMA) has a new directive to fine traffic offenders, rather than seize vehicles.

On Monday, the 7th of September, the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) commended this directive for LASTMA, adding that this will make drivers more responsible.

He went on to warn commercial drivers against violating traffic laws due because of this new penalty.
