New Zealand international Nikorima, whose season was cut short by a shoulder injury, is relieved to have resolved his future after a lengthy period of negotiations.

"It's been longer than expected, but there are things you have to work through," Nikorima told the Broncos' official website.

"It is a business so you have to take it like that. I'm excited to be here for another two years and to see what the future holds.

"It’s very exciting for myself and my family. We've been with the club since I was 12."
