Inbee Park wins second title by three strokes
Park Inbee collected her second victory of 2015 as she finished three shots clear to win the North Texas Shootout on Sunday.
Having lifted the Women's Champions title in March, the South Korean held off the challenge of compatriot Park Hee Young and America's Cristie Kerr to finish on 15-under par at the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.
Park Inbee produced a solid final round to card a 65, consisting of three birdies on the front nine before matching that after the turn.
The 26-year-old made a modest start on Thursday with a 69, leaving her tied for 18th, but began her attack on the second day with a stunning 66 to move her in behind Brooke Henderson.
She finally hit the front on Saturday, sharing the lead with Lexi Thompson, but as her rivals slipped away, Park Inbee pushed on towards the title.
A bogey at 16 set Park Hee-young back, while Kerr's challenge faded after two bogeys, and even three successive birdies to finish the tournament could not help her catch the champion.
Victory is Park Inbee's second North Texas Shootout title in three years, and joins Lydia Ko and Kim Sei-young in winning multiple tournaments this year.
