McLaren's Lando Norris finished second in the second free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix today, acknowledging the progress made by his team.

“The first practice wasn't great; I was happier in the second, but I'm still not content with the car's behavior,” the Briton explained figuratively. “My car is still challenging to drive, but we're closer to the leaders, as is usually the case on a Friday.”
“I believe we showed more pace today than our direct rivals. We shouldn't expect anything out of the ordinary.”
“The energy deficit here is significant, everywhere. On every straight. It's worst through 'Blanchimont,' where the speed drops from 320 to 270 km/h simply because there's nothing left in the battery. On every straight, the engine is working to recharge the battery.”
