No slowing down for French Open winner Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova has no plans of slowing down, 10 years after winning her first grand slam at Wimbledon.

The Russian returns to the All England Club next week on the back of her sensational victory at the French Open earlier this month.

And, as she prepares to follow up her Roland Garros triumph, 27-year-old Sharapova is quick to remember where it all began.

"It was such a beautiful moment in my career, I was so young," she said. "I was happy to be in the second week of Wimbledon and just recollecting that memory, going down on my knees and holding that trophy as a 17-year-old teenager, it was really unbelievable.

"So to look back at my career and the fact that I backed that up with four more grand slams and I've been number one in the world, is an incredible achievement.

"Here I am at 27 years old and still believing that I can be here for so many years at a high level."

Sharapova will face Great Britain's Samantha Murray in the first round.
