American rapper A$AP Rocky has addressed comparisons between his wealth and that of his partner, Rihanna, dismissing the idea that her significantly larger fortune affects his confidence in their relationship.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Jason Lee Show, Rocky was asked about how celebrity couples are often publicly compared, particularly when one partner is perceived as more successful or wealthier than the other. He responded directly, addressing his own financial standing next to Rihanna's.

"My woman got billions, I got multi-millions," he said. "Her success is never my demise. Her success isn't mine at all. I've done what I done for myself, and I'm proud of what I did for myself."

He continued, making clear that outside opinions have no bearing on how he feels about the relationship. "There's nothing another … can say to me, especially a … with less money or less anything than me, to make me feel insecure or less proud about my woman being successful," he said. "What sense does that make? What part of the game is that? You know where I'm from. Like, nah, bro. I'm proud of that woman. She did that. That ain't got nothing to do with me."

According to Forbes, Rihanna's net worth is estimated at around $1.4 billion, largely built through her Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty brands, alongside her music career. Rocky, while significantly less wealthy by comparison, has built his own fortune through music, fashion ventures including his AWGE creative agency, and various brand collaborations.

The comments come after online discussions questioning whether Rocky's relationship with Rihanna casts him as financially dependent on her, a narrative he directly pushed back against during the interview.

Beyond addressing the wealth comparisons, Rocky also spoke warmly about his relationship with Rihanna during the same interview, describing her as someone he considers family. "She my heart, bro. Like that's really my bro, like for real. She real, bro. I love her to death, man. I love the person she is," he said, adding that his mother had long hoped the two would end up together.
