Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi started and played all 90 minutes for Leicester City in their 4-3 loss away at Arsenal. New Leicester City signing, Kelechi Iheanacho was a late substitute while Ahmed Musa was not listed for the game by the 2016 Premier League champions.

Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi was an unused substitute in the game.

Odion Ighalo continued his goal scoring form, scoring Changchun Yatai’s only goal in their 1-1 home draw against Yabian Funde in the Chinese Super League (CSL).

With Changchun Yatai trailing, the Nigerian striker scored in the 86th minute to equalise. That was his 11th goal in 20 league games for his club.

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi returned to the pitch after a four-month injury lay-off to start for Tianjin TEDA in their 2-0 home loss to Hebei CFFC.

Henry Onyekuru started from the bench as Anderlecht suffered a 2-0 loss to Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian Jupiler game.

Uche Agbo played for 90 minutes in Standard Liege’s 1-0 defeat against Saint-Truiden away at the Stayen stadium.

In Norway

Samuel Adegebenro played his 15th league game of the season for Viking as they drew 1-1 away to Aalesund on Sunday. He was substituted in the 66th minute.

Nigerian duo of Shuaibu Ibrahim, Anthony Ikedi played in Stabaek’s 2-2 away draw at Haugesund on Sunday.

Izuchukwu Jude Anthony who also plays for Stabaek was an unused substitute.

Lillestom Nigerian players Ifeanyi Matthew, Marco Tagbajumi and Charles Eze all started in their 3-1 away defeat to Stromsggodset.

Moses Ebiye came off the bench in the 46th minute to play in his first game of the season.

In Turkey

No goals from any Nigerian in Turkey, where Azubuike Okechukwu was in action the whole 90 minutes for Yeni Malatyaspor in their 3-1 home win over Osmanlispor that had his compatriots Aminu Umar and Raheem Lawal.

Remember Sunday Mba, the midfielder and another Nigerian Sincere Seth were unused substitutes for Yeni Malatyaspor.

Imoh Ezekiel played just a few minutes in Konyaspor 2-1 loss to Trabzonspor. Ogenyi Onazi was not listed in the game by Trabzonspor as he nears a move away from the club.

In Denmark

Paul Onuachu netted two goals for Midtjylland in their narrow 4-3 home win against Nordsjaelland on Sunday, August 13.

The Nigerian scored in the 44th and 53rd minutes. He played the whole 90 minutes of the game while his compatriot Rilwan Hassan also started the game for Midtjylland but was substituted in the 73rd minute.
