This is how Pulse Sports rate the performances of Dream Team VI players

Daniel Akpeyi (Goalkeeper) 4/10

Akpeyi was not unimpressive although he made a very fine save in the first off a header. He was nervous and could not command his defence well enough. Conceded two goals too.

Ndifreke Effiong (Right-back) 510

Starting his first game in the Olympics and he showed why he was not a starter in Nigeria’s first two games. He could not cope with the pace and the Colombians had so much space attacking from his side.  Attacked a lot and had lots of good crosses though.

William Troost-Ekong (centre-back) 5/10

Had an average game and didn’t look very confident and assuring. Got a booking in the first half for a poor tackle and was caught out of position several times.

Sincere Seth (centre-back) 4/10

Still not doing well in the centre-back position. Often lacked awareness and was at fault for Colombia’s first goal of the night. A major worry.

Kingsley Madu (Left-back) 4/10

Came in place of Stanley Amuzie but could not do enough to justify his place in the team. Struggled toi defend and attack as well. Very little impact.

Saliu Popoola 6/10 (midfielder)

Only change in the side that impressed in the game. Was strong in tackles and marked well throughtout the game.

Azubuike Okechukwu (midfielder) 4/10

Looked very tired in the game and gave away possession that led to Colombia’s second goal.

John Mikel Obi (midfielder) 6/10

An average game with some moments of brilliance in between. Controlled the midfielder some times and helped the attack a lot.

Oghenekaro Etebo (forward) 5/10

Missed a first half chance goal and found it hard to come  afterwards. Clearly worked hard but couldn’t get in goalscoring positions.

Aminu Umar (forward) 4/10

Started in place of Imoh Ezekiel but failed to impress. He was ineffective in the second half before he was replaced by Usman Mohammed.

Umar Sadiq (forward) 4/10

Goalscorer in Nigeria’s last two games, Umar struggled all through the game.
