After Brazil's elimination from the World Cup in the Round of 16 against Norway (1-2), Neymar returned to Santos. His presence at his boyhood club's facilities should alleviate some of the doubts surrounding his future.

Is this the beginning of the end of uncertainty? On Friday, Santos FC posted a photo of 34-year-old Neymar at the club's training ground on their social media. Following the Brazilian championship break, the Seleção winger (130 caps, 80 goals) appears to have resumed training ahead of Santos' return to action on July 25 against Chapecoense (kick-off 11:30 PM). The club where Neymar rose through the ranks is just one point above the relegation zone and will host the league's bottom-placed team.

The former Barcelona and PSG player is back after Brazil's 1-2 defeat to Norway in the World Cup Round of 16. Despite scoring a penalty, Neymar couldn't prevent his team's loss, and immediately afterward, he announced his retirement from the national team. Uncertainty still surrounds the future of the Brazilian star, whose contract with Santos runs until December. There was speculation about a contract termination and the end of Neymar's career after the World Cup, but it now seems he is prepared to at least see out his current deal.
