Barcelona forward says he planned super goal

Barcelona forward Neymar has boasted that he planned his super goal against Villarreal in the La Liga 3-0 win on Sunday, November 9.

It was a moment of magic by the Brazilian forward, flicking the ball over the head of onrushing Villarreal defender Jaume Costa's head before volleying home for his second goal of the day.

While many have opined that the forward was lucky, Neymar said he planned it throughout the game.

“I thought about the move [that led to his second goal] in advance and it came off,” he said after the game.

“I'm happy with my contribution to the team but I think I can improve even more. Together with my team-mates, we have to keep growing.

“We played really well, we created a lot of chances throughout the game. We have to carry on like this. Everyone played well against Villarreal, who are a great team.”
