Manchester United's new signing, Youri Tielemans, has joined his teammates at the club's training ground and commenced pre-season preparations. The Belgian midfielder was surprisingly acquired for £35 million from Aston Villa just days after the World Cup concluded. The 29-year-old midfielder's national team was eliminated in the quarter-finals after a defeat to eventual champions Spain. Alongside Tielemans, first-choice goalkeeper Senne Lammens also joined the Red Devils' training sessions. So far, Manchester United has played two friendly matches – suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Wrexham in the first, and then crushing Norwegian side Rosenborg 5-0 in the second. The Red Devils' next, and significantly tougher, test is against Atlético Madrid on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
