JJDS Management Limited is demanding over £5 million (approximately €6 million) from Mykhaylo Mudryk for an alleged breach of an image rights contract, signed when the player transferred in January 2023.
The company claims a failure to pay a percentage of the Ukrainian's commercial and advertising revenues, and the English courts have now ruled in their favor.
According to Ukrainian media, the London court has issued an asset freezing order against the player.
“Mudryk's funds are frozen, his assets are blocked. So, we are not concerned if the process drags on a bit. The claim has been properly secured,” stated Femis Segirov, founder of JJDS Management Limited.
The High Court in London reportedly seized £2.5 million (nearly €3 million) from the footballer's accounts.
It's worth noting that, in parallel, a separate case is ongoing against the player, accusing him of violating anti-doping control rules. He was handed a four-year suspension by the English Football Association (FA) last April.
The winger tested positive for the substance meldonium in a urine test in 2024 but has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
