Donatas Motiejunas has been out of contention for the Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet squad for a while. The experienced center wasn't among those traveling to Barcelona for the crucial match against the Catalans, so he has gone home to Lithuania.

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet's basketball team faces Barcelona this Tuesday in a EuroLeague play-in game.

It won't be an easy road; if they win, a decisive match for a quarter-final spot awaits them on Friday, again on the road, against the loser of the Panathinaikos - Monaco clash.

Coach Saša Obradović has decided to take all players to Catalonia except Donatas Motiejunas, who has already left Belgrade.

The Lithuanian big man was granted leave by the club and given the green light to travel to Lithuania with his personal trainer, Virginijus Mikalauskas.

He is expected to return to Belgrade with the rest of the team.

Motiejunas averaged 6.1 points in 27 EuroLeague games, playing 12.5 minutes per contest, but Obradović has not been counting on him for some time now.
