The Moroccan national team continues to make history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals. The "Atlas Lions" have reached the quarterfinals for the second consecutive time after defeating Canada 3-0 in the Round of 16. This success also guarantees the team a significant financial bonus from the International Football Federation (FIFA).
Under the new financial reward system adopted by FIFA for the current edition, teams reaching the quarterfinals receive $19 million as a bonus for their performance. This sum is allocated to teams ranked from fifth to eighth place.
However, the Moroccan team's earnings don't stop there. FIFA provides every World Cup participant with $10 million for qualifying, plus an additional $2.5 million to cover preparation costs. Thus, the total amount Morocco has secured so far stands at $31.5 million.
The "Atlas Lions" still have the opportunity to increase their prize money if they advance further in the tournament. The fourth-placed team will receive a total of $39.5 million, while the third-placed team will get $41.5 million. The losing finalist will take home $45.5 million, and the champion's prize reaches $62.5 million, after factoring in participation and preparation sums.
