Moroccan Predicts Revenge on France for Qatar: Mbappé Will Leave the Field in Tears!
Morocco is writing another fairytale story at the World Cup. Mohamed Ouahbi's squad navigated a tough group stage and then overcame the Netherlands and Canada. Now, they face a quarter-final clash against a footballing giant.
"It will be a very difficult task. France is among the favorites to win the title. The depth of their squad is incredible, and their attacking power is unrivaled. They have three potential Ballon d'Or winners, which says it all. At the back, they boast a world-class center-back pairing. It's truly a great team," stated Ali Boussaboun.
Despite this, the former player for clubs like Feyenoord, Utrecht, and Al-Nassr is convinced his compatriots have a chance to advance to the semi-finals. In an interview with the Dutch portal Sportnieuws.nl, he added that they would need to deliver an almost perfect performance.
"I believe Morocco is capable of it. If they succeed, I'll be unreachable for the next few days. All that honking you'll hear will be mine!" the 13-time Moroccan international said with a laugh.
Future World Champions?
"Morocco has established itself on the scene and is once again proving that it belongs among the top ten countries in the world. I am incredibly proud of that. They already won over fans in Qatar. It truly pleases me to see young talents in the team.
It's good for the future of Moroccan football. I'm not exaggerating when I say they could contend for the title at the next World Cup," Ali Boussaboun confidently declared, also offering his prediction for Thursday's match.
"If I let my imagination run wild, they'll shut everything down at the back and beat France 3-0. Mbappé will then leave the field in tears. But if I'm being realistic, Morocco will be very resilient and defend well. The match will end in a draw, and they'll win again on penalties. This way, they'll get revenge for the 2022 Qatar semi-final," concluded the former striker.
