Morita's Wife Bids Emotional Farewell: “Sporting Will Always Be Family to Us”

Reina Fujisaka, wife of footballer Morita, bid an emotional farewell to Sporting through a message shared on social media. The midfielder, whose contract with the Lions had expired, is set to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League, having signed a deal with Hull City until June 2028, with an option for an additional year.

“Now that a new chapter has begun for our family, I want to take this moment to express my gratitude to everyone who was part of our journey at Sporting. The four years we spent at Sporting were truly unforgettable and very special for our family,” Reina Fujisaka began, recalling both the “achievements” and the “difficult moments” of their time in Alvalade: “Winning so many titles and being able to celebrate those moments with all of you will be a memory we will carry in our hearts forever. To all teammates, coaching staff, club employees, their families, and all the fans: thank you so much for always welcoming me with such warmth and respect, even without me speaking Portuguese. Times weren't always easy. There were difficult moments, especially during injuries. But, through every challenge, we felt the support, affection, and strength you gave us to keep going.”

“Sporting will forever be a family to us. We will never forget the people we met and all the moments we experienced at this club. It's very hard to say goodbye, but we sincerely wish Sporting continued success. Thank you so much for these four unforgettable years,” she concluded.

Morita arrived at Sporting in the summer of 2022 from Santa Clara. Always a fan favorite due to his dedication and attitude, he played 164 matches for the Lions, winning two national championships and one Portuguese Cup.
