Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam were at their ruthless best on Saturday evening with Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus the standout performer.

Kudus put in a man-of-the-match performance to inspire Ajax to a comfortable 5-0 home win over SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.

Both goals came in the space of 11 second-half minutes as he scored the third and fourth goals to give Ajax an unassailable 4-0 lead.

The goals mean he has not scored or assisted five (5) goals, four (4) goals and one assist, in his last three (3) matches in all competitions for the Dutch giant.

He was substituted in the 72nd minute to an incredible round of applause from the appreciative home fans before he was deservedly named King of the match.

Ajax win seven (7) in a row

Despite playing under a new coach, Alfred Schreuder, Ajax is flying and looking untouchable at the moment in all competitions.

The Eredivisie defending champions completely blew their visitors Heerenveen out of the way with a five-star performance on Saturday.

Goals from Davy Klaassen, Kenneth Taylor, Kudus, who added a brace and substitute, Brian Brobbey saw Ajax thrash Heerenveen 5-0.

The win was their seventh in a row in all competitions but fifth in the Eredivisie, without letting in a single goal.

They have now won all six matches this season in the league, scoring 21 goals, an average of 3.5 goals per game and conceded just three (3).
