The Toronto Blue Jays kept their MLB play-off chances alive with a 5-1 win over the Texas Rangers.

Troy Tulowitzki had four RBIs, including a three-run homer, and Marco Estrada pitched 6.1 strong innings in Texas.

After back-to-back losses at the Rogers Centre, the Blue Jays reduced the deficit in the American League (AL) Division Series to 2-1.

Game four is in Texas on Monday.

Leading 1-0, the Blue Jays went 2-0 up in the fourth inning when Rangers pitcher Martin Perez walked Tulowitzki with the bases loaded.

Tulowitzki would provide the decisive moment in the sixth, blasting a three-run homer off Chi Chi Gonzalez.

The Blue Jays closed out the victory and did not need David Price to come out of the bullpen.

The Houston Astros pulled ahead of the Kansas City Royals in their ALDS with a 4-2 win.

Dallas Keuchel pitched seven strong innings, striking out seven and giving up just five hits.

Jason Castro hit a go-ahead two-run single and Chris Carter went three-for-three with a homer to see the Astros to their win.
