NFF in talks with Mico for Super Eagles
The
Milutin also known as Micho is currently the coach of the Ugandan national team but could be the next boss of the Nigeria national team after the NFF decided on him to take up the Super Eagles job.
According to reports, Technical Committee chairman, Chris Green, met with Micho in Rwanda and it is very likely that the 46-year-old will take over from Samson Siasia who is currently the temporary coach of the Super Eagles.
“Green met with Micho at CHAN and it is like it is already a done deal. The plan was to appoint Shuaibu Amodu for the Egypt matches and after those games, a substantive foreign coach will be named with Micho in pole position,” MTNFootball quotes a source.
“But Amodu declined the post because he is hypertensive and so the temporary arrangement of Siasia and co, who have been told they will revert to their previous posts after the matches against Egypt.”
Milutin has experience with African teams, having managed Rwanda before Uganda.
After the resignation of Sunday Oliseh from the Super Eagles job, the NFF have made it clear that they will be getting a foreign coach for the Super Eagles.
Pinnick who was away at Zurich when Oliseh resigned as revealed that the NFF are searching for a foreign replacement for the Super Eagles job.
“After this Sunday Oliseh debacle, we have definitely turned the corner. We are now going to start shopping for a well grounded and qualified foreign coach to tinker the Team. Enough is enough," NFF president, Amaju Pinnick told Hotsports.tv.
