Leão's future remains undecided, with Aston Villa also in negotiations for the Portuguese international. Fabrizio Romano reports an oral agreement is even in place for an initial loan move with a mandatory £50 million purchase clause, contingent on certain conditions being met.

Leão, whose contract runs until 2028, featured in 31 matches across all competitions for Milan last season, scoring 10 goals. The team finished fifth in the league standings, securing a spot in the Europa League.

The 27-year-old participated in all five of Portugal's World Cup matches this summer, registering one goal and one assist before his team was eliminated in the round of 16 by eventual champions Spain.
