France international defender Ferland Mendy has resumed full training with Real Madrid, manager Jose Mourinho confirmed on Friday. The full-back has been sidelined since May with a right hamstring injury. Spanish outlet AS reported last week that Mendy was close to returning to full-intensity training and ball work. However, he will not be rushed straight back into action by Mourinho, who will allow him time to regain match fitness. The 31-year-old is not even registered in Real Madrid's Champions League squad. The Spanish giants reinforced the position during the summer by signing World Cup winner Marc Cucurella, who is currently an undisputed starter.
