Man City manager wins BPL manager of August

After leading his side to four straight victories in the league this season, Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini has been named the Barclays Premier League manager of the month of August.

City have now won all four leagues matches season, scoring 10, conceding and have now won a club record 10 league games in a row, including the six at the back end of the last campaign.

Pellegrini's side has scored 10 goals as they sit on the summit of the English Premier League.

The 25-year-old has been an integral part Gary Monk's team who have started the season very strongly, scoring three goals so far including the strikes against Chelsea and Manchester United.

Ayew won the BPL player of the month plaque beating the likes of Swansea team-mate Bafetimbi Gomis and Manchester City pair David Silva and Aleksandar Kolarov.
