The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has promoted Emmanuel Amuneke who last year led the Golden Eaglets to victory in the U-17 World Cup to head the U-20, replacing Garba.
Amuneke's appointment was announced at the NFF executive board meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, February, 16.
The U-20 side have not been impressive under Garba and the NFF have decided to replace him with Amunke who was his assistant at the U-17 level when the Golden Eaglets won the World Cup in 2013.
In a chat with Pulse Sports over the phone, Garba said he was not happy with NFF's decision and revealed that he refused an offer to take up the U-17 team.
" I just heard the news that Amuneke is coach of the Flying Eagles and that is disrespectful from the NFF," he said.
Asked if he will be taking NFF's offer to coach the Golden Eaglets, Garba said: "I can't go back and manage the Golden Eaglets. I won the World Cup with them, what else do I want to achieve.
