Manchester United are experiencing an injury crises as three key players will be missing their English Premier League trip to Watford for matchday 13.
Coach Louis van Gaal ahead of the Saturday, November 21 lunch time kick-off revealed casualties from the national break.
On captain Wayne Rooney, Van Gaal said; “He is at home and I don't think he can play.”
France international Anthony Martial left Wembley after the international friendly defeat to England with crutches and Van Gaal has confirmed that the forward is out.
“Martial probably could have played but it's better for him if he doesn't,” United manager said.
Michael Carrick got injured while on national team duties with England and Van Gaal says the midfielder’s injury is not serious.
“He shall play much sooner than people wrote,” the manager said.
Other players missing for United include James Wilson who Van Gaal says is lacking fitness while Marouane Fellaini is unavailable due to a calf problem.
Antonio Valencia (foot) and Luke Shaw (leg) are also out through injury.
