Manchester United management has reportedly held discussions with Marcus Rashford and his representatives regarding his potential reintegration into the squad, according to Fabrizio Romano. The player himself has already spoken with Michael Carrick on several occasions, indicating his openness to beginning pre-season training with the first team and subsequently remaining part of the club.

Rashford last featured for the Red Devils in December 2024 before being sent on loan to Aston Villa. He spent the most recent campaign also on loan, this time at Barcelona, where he impressed with his performances, tallying 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances. Despite this, the Catalan giants opted not to activate his buyout clause. The forward is currently part of Thomas Tuchel's squad at the World Cup, and his contract with Manchester United runs until the summer of 2028.

In recent weeks, there has been speculation linking him with Tottenham and Aston Villa, but neither club has submitted a concrete offer. Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking to strengthen their left wing, and the prospect of bringing Rashford back appears increasingly appealing to Michael Carrick.
