English football club Manchester United has officially announced the transfer of goalkeeper Kit Margetson from Swansea City. The 19-year-old Welsh shot-stopper is a product of the "Swans'" academy but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Championship side. Last season, he was on loan at Connah's Quay Nomads in the Welsh Premier League, keeping 10 clean sheets in 34 appearances. His contributions helped the team qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League preliminary rounds.
The young goalkeeper, son of former Welsh international Martin Margetson, also has one cap for his country's U21 squad and is expected to join the "Red Devils'" reserve team for the upcoming season. Kit Margetson marks Manchester United's fifth summer signing, following midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, goalkeeper Karl Darlow, and forward Tynan Thompson.
